Her Father’s Speech

Dear relatives, friends, and distinguished guests,

Good morning!

Today is the joyful occasion of my daughter Jing Zeng and my son-in-law Xiangyu Zhao’s wedding. On behalf of our entire family, I extend the warmest welcome and heartfelt gratitude to all our relatives and friends for being here with us today.

As parents, our emotions are mixed. Seeing my daughter in her wedding dress, I can’t help but remember her first wobbly steps, the little backpack on her first day of school, and all the surprises her growth has brought us. Today, our treasured daughter has found her happiness. There is a touch of reluctance, but far more gratitude and blessing.

To my daughter, Jing Zeng: thank you for letting us be your parents. For more than twenty years, your smile has been our greatest joy. From today, you’re entering a new chapter. May you and your husband be patient with one another and stand shoulder to shoulder. Remember—whatever happens—home will always be your safe harbour.

There is an old saying:”Bound together as husband and wife, in love without doubt.” May you nourish your marriage with love, dissolve disagreements with understanding, and create a bright future through shared goals.I also wish everyone here happiness in their families and every success!
